City of Cleveland
The City of Cleveland operates under a code charter stipulating the mayor/aldermen form of government. The mayor is responsible for day-to-day administration of the city; the board of aldermen establishes policies, budgets, and appoints citizens to committees. The mayor and seven aldermen are elected every four years.
Bolivar County Administrative Officials
Five supervisors elected for four-year terms from five county districts manage Bolivar County government. Supervisors are responsible for the funding and oversight of all county departments including courts, law enforcement, welfare and health departments, road construction and maintenance, and other operations. A County Administrator handles the day-to-day operation.Bolivar County is one of only three counties in the State of Mississippi to have two county seats, Cleveland and Rosedale. This gives businesses and residents easy access to local government on either side of the County. |
