A Signature Program of the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce

L.E.A.D. Bolivar is a county-wide leadership development program designed to identify, educate, and connect emerging and established leaders across Bolivar County. Through monthly classroom sessions, hands-on tours, and meaningful relationship-building, participants gain a deeper understanding of our community and develop the skills needed to make a lasting impact.

The program welcomes professionals at any career stage - from emerging leaders to seasoned professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, nonprofit staff, and small-business owners. There is no age limit.


Program Overview

Participants meet once a month for full program days that explore the most important issues, opportunities, and industries shaping Bolivar County. Each session blends leadership development, local expertise, and behind-the-scenes learning.

Topics include:

  • Economic development & workforce

  • Healthcare & mental health

  • Agriculture & industry

  • Education & early childhood

  • City/county government & infrastructure

  • Arts, culture & tourism

  • Community issues & quality of life


Program Schedule

Dates: February – November 2026
Meetings: Third Tuesday of each month
Format: 8–9 program days + November graduation
Kick-Off: 2026 State of the Chamber Program (date forthcoming)

Eligibility

L.E.A.D. Bolivar is open to:

  • Chamber members and non-members

  • Professionals at all stages of their careers

  • Individuals who live in Bolivar County

  • Anyone who wants to build deeper knowledge of community leadership

There is no age requirement.


Application Timeline

  • Applications Open: Monday, November 17, 2025

  • Applications Close: Friday, December 26, 2025

  • Acceptance Notifications: No later than Tuesday, January 6, 2026

  • Participant Commitment Form Due: Friday, January 9, 2026

  • Formal Class Announcement: Week of January 12, 2026


Program Cost

$500 per participant
Includes all meals, materials, tours, and graduation.

Scholarships may be considered if funding becomes available.

About the Program

L.E.A.D. Bolivar – Leadership, Education, Action, and Development – is operated by the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce and guided by the Membership Committee. The program is chaired by David Griffith, Chair of the Membership Committee, who leads strategic direction and program oversight.
